A heads up from a former roommate kind of made my day today. It was about the Wikipedia featured article of the day…which happens to be about a vicious pirate who shares with me a similar name. It’s a common error for people to misspell my name that way and now I can give them a little history lesson whether they want to hear about it or not.

The irony here is that by naming me after British royalty, she actually tagged me with a name that would gave sailors a bit of a scare three hundred years ago. Good job, mom.

An additional wacky coincidence is that my name is also similar to that of the guy who invented kitty litter.

I guess I can’t win ‘em all.

Hi. I’ve been around…it’s been an interesting last month or so what with recently parting ways with my good friends at May or may Not, staying busy with Sleep Out, writing my Funky Winkerbean blog, holding down a Job, attending family events and looking at ways to re-balance my life.
