Courtesy of PBS (and Netflix), this NOVA documentary* has taught me that the Earth's magnetic field is either in the middle of a reversal or a slow death. The scientists tell us that North becomes South every 200,000 years or so. If the field reverses itself in the next few centuries, the Earth will expose itself to direct impact of solar radiation. This could mean bad things like a rise in cancer rates, but you may get to see Aurora Borealis over Las Vegas.

Lest we remember that God created earth 5,000 years ago and none of the scientific evidence presented in almost every documentary about the Earth is valid?

I just want to see a compass point south...and I think I'm may seek a NOVA t-shirt.
