I've always ignored the nice men who show up at bars selling their tamales. Being unfamiliar with what the hell they were, I didn't pay any mind. The food they sell out of coolers could lead to some fun-filled bouts of food poisoning. I tried to stay away when possible. Tonight, I had the first one ever and I thought it was pretty good. Never again, will I turn a blind eye to the man selling Tamales in this city. They're not that bad after all. The next time you see the Tamale man, don't laugh...buy one. It's a good treat for a hard earned dollar.
This new warmth can only mean one thing. It's that time of year where I will visit the rooftop more than I have in the past year. Even if it's just for sixty seconds of breathing in the fresh lake air, I will have to do this every day....starting....tomorrow...ha!
