The list on the right has been updated. I'm not saying I bought all of these CD's, but they're new to the library. One of them doesn't even come out until next tuesday. If you're looking for something new or different for the ear...sample what I've got.
Here's a quick recap of the new ones (this is for the archive readers in us):
Kanye West - College Dropout : Good, bad, talks about Chicago...give it a shot.
And you Will Know us by the Trail of Dead - Madonna : I still haven't listened to it. If it's as good as the other album of theirs I own (ST&C), I recommend this before I even listen.
Ludacris - Chicken and Beer : Better than I expected. The guy gives a touching account of his career in one track.
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea : A lot better than I expected. It's a good mix of driving acoustic rock with horns, organs, accordions, saws, banjo, and zanzithophones.
Oneida - Each one Teach One : Driving Music. Once I understood the music, I loved it. I saw them live a few months ago and they were pretty funny. This album opens up with a 15 minute song based on two chords...and the song is pretty good.
!!! - Me and Guiliani down by the Schoolyard : Take the Clash's "Car Jammin" and turn it into a funk-jam band. This is what listening to the band is like. If you can tolerate jam band tendencies...you'll like this.
Music corner does not condone music piracy. You're just hurting the record companies, the artists, and that one guy in Metallica. Don't be an ass...buy your music.
