Uh...okay

My parents...they're definitely a pair. First last week's advice...now it's my mother's turn to make the call:

Ma: "Where are you?"
E: "I'm at the Bulls Game."
Ma: (concerned tone) "You're at the Game?!"
E: "Yeah, I'm watching the basketball game."
Ma: "Oh, good...you're not at the cubs game."
E: "Uh...Yeah"
Ma: "We just wanted to see where you were...how are you getting home?"
E: "My friend is driving me."
Ma:"Oh good, don't take the trains on the way home."
E: Why?
Ma: (More concern) "Just don't go outside and celebrate if they win."
E: (calmly) "You mean you don't want me to have fun and enjoy a once in a lifetime event?"
Ma: "Just don't...here, talk to you father."

C'mon...I mean...c'mon...I've ranted about this before. My mother is scared of crowds, scared of minorities, and scared of people who apprear to be standing on the street. Therefore, I should stay way from crowds, minorities, and not walk on the streets...what gives? When I was in elementary school, she didn't let me out to play with my friends in winter weather because it was "too cold"...I got teased quite a bit for that one. I'm suprised I turned out this independant seeing as how my mother raised us to be scared of the outside world. I blame the news.

Special thanks to that fan who may have cost the Cubs a trip to the world series....you asshole!
