Leftover Chinese is going to take a long weekend as we travel to the Bay Area to visit Jon and Adam. Jon is my former roomate, Adam is an old college friend who lives in Africa and is in the country for a few weeks. They both came to college straight out of california and the first thing my buddy-to-be Damon asked was: "You're from California?! Have you ever seen snow?!" I remember Jon giving Damon a strange look before he replied. I don't remember what the reply was, but the look said it all. Later that week, saw Adam and Jon talking in the lobby and they seemed to have turned on the Cali accents and terminology. It was like they were speaking in their own language. I asked them about it later, and they sheepishly denied switching back to cali-talk. Eitherway, it will be good to see them again, and while I doubt someone will say: "You're from Wessconsin? Did you grow up with cows?" I'm sure I'll encounter a different world. Awesome.
I'm also going to the Giants/Brewers game on sunday. That would make this season's brewer game total = 5. All of the Brewers games I have been to this season have been outside Miller Park. I'm supporting my team by giving my money to the other team (well, that's not 100% true, but hay, its all gravy).
