...and then it hit me

I stared outside the bus window at the tall buildings and empty sidewalks. It was then that I realized that this is time of the year where coporations can focus on year end quotas and families spend less time together. The kids are school, the interns are back at college, and there are no more family vacations. Around this time each year, almost everybody older than age five and not retired is supposed to be somewhere everyday. Whether its school or work, everybody has a committment. There exists not too much to get excited about save going to work everyday so someone else can make a lot of money...productivity levels should raise due to this societal cycle. Everybody buckles their belts and goes to work. People become machines around this time of year...that kind of sucks.
