The Seventeen Mile Adventure

I slept in and went for a decent length bike ride reminiscient of the '98 summer. Back then I would ride for about two hours a few times a week to work out all the frustrations of the week. Anyway, this is what I stopped to see along the way. Hold the cursor over the images to get a caption.

Yuppie Tower

That one fountain from the opening of 'Married, With Children'.

New Soldier Field - It doesn't look that cool. Green Bay's new look is much more appealing.

The skyline from behind the Shedd Aquarium. This is the best view of the skyline. Overcast skies lend themselves to good light, but a blue sky makes it look a lot better.

Ohio Street beach. Its a good straight-away to clear the senses.

A park with cement benches with chess boards. When I live in a house, I'm building a cement board in my patio.

North Skyline view from Fullerton. It looks amazing on the approach.

People insist on tanning on the concrete beaches. Why? There are decent sandy places nearby!

A look behind me. Somehow, the camera lined up perfectly

Oncoming Traffic.

Dog Beach. Where dogs come to play, and guys come to try to meet chicks

So I got back, went to the roof to stretch out and cool off. I did my stretches and a few pushups. I turned to the south and looked at the condo buidling. All of the units have balconies for folks to come out and get a decent north view. Not a minute passed before a fat guy came outside without any pants on. I did not want to see this...not at all. So I walked to the northside of the balcony to imagine that it never happened. What a sick fuck.

At the Clark Street Fair, everybody's favorite chach bar, Jon Barleycorn, had a karoke thing set up. These two guys went up there to sing the theme song from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. These steakheads just stood on the stage and didn't sing along. One of the guys looked like he was up there to be seen and nothing more. I would have stepped on stage to show them what a karoke performance really was, but it was daytime and I wasn't that drunk. Luckily, some guy sang Ratt's "Round and Round." That got everybody pumped up. Damn.

The workplace will change this week. Curses!
