Out of Nowhere

Today was your typical summer day. It was hot, humid, sunny, and I sat at work and enjoyed the cold, processed air keeping me cool. The sun was out all day and I pondered going for a run. Then at around 3:30, it got really dark really quick and I could hear thunder. I checked the radar and there was no precipitation. Hmmm....then it rained a bit...the storms formed over the city, I suppose. When the heavy, heavy rains came down, it made for another unique trip home on the damn bus. This time around it was hot and humid inside and we all had to shut the windows because it rained too hard. The pull cord in the bus was broken, so everyone who wanted to depart had to scream. The bus was standing room only. Well, I managed to put off feeling annoyed by something and got home safely...but it was pouring and miller lost his power....you know what? I just realized while typing this that you've heard way too much about my adventures going home from work. If I check back in the archives, I bet there are a few mentions about the bus ride home every few days. That's not to say the highlight of the working day is riding the damn bus...but I do mention it quite a bit. Could this be a cry for help about some hidden issue? Does the fact that the commute home can sometimes contain the most interesting event make my life dull? Um......sorta.

After a night and a day of obsessing over it, I've altered the look of the site enough. I have one more page to change, but I may just keep it the way it is for a while, so I can compare. Then again, it will probably bug me that it hasn't changed, so I'll most likely make the change before I sleep. So much for watching a DVD to cap off two straight days in front of a computer screen. Hmm...I should walk away from the computer now. I think I will....but for you occassional readers, I've reduced the front page from fourteen days of posts to only five...but I made the archives more convenient to get to...so take a look back if you haven't been here for a while...I give you the gift of convenience.

I hope you like the new colors. It may look pretty ordinary, but it took me quite a while to get things to line up correctly (and optimize for the 600 x 800 desktop window)...which means, I slaved over the new scheme so you're going to like it....heh.
