Friday featured a sore throat. You know...that feeling where you can tell you're developing a sore throat but its not quite full blown. A most annoying feeling. Well, the sore throat went away, but that means only one thing...the cough/stuffy head portion begins. It wasn't that bad today, but tonight it has become worse and worse. Rest and relaxation will take care of this. Hopefully it will be all but gone tomorrow morning as I begin week two of the marathon training.
It still feels like someone took a hammer to my lower calves...but it isn't as bad. It feels more like someone kicked me in the back of the leg. Yeah, it doesn't sound pleasant, but its better than it was yesterday. Luckily, I get to repeat the whole damn process all over again.
Today's lunch featured: a salad, two italian sausages, spaghetti, garlic bread, and a large soda...all for 6 bucks. It tasted okay for a while, then it started to talk to me when I got back to work. It said: "don't ever order me again, sucka"
I spent my idle time finishing up the Mixerman documentary. This professional sound engineer has documented this story about this band that supposed to make it big. He refers to them as bitchslap. They've been a very disfunctional band throughout the whole process. In his 8 weeks of recording...a) the drummer broke his wrist, b) the band went on a cruise to work out their issues, c) the producer, mixer and assistant re-recorded almost every track while the band was out of the studio, d) the bass player went nuts and stole a limo and took it to seattle...and other crazy crazy shit. Its a good read if you have nothing to do and would like to learn a bit about how a record is made.
The longest day of the summer is coming up soon....get ready. Perhaps iced cream will take care of this cold....
