A sunday with nothing to do. Every weekend for basically the past six months, I've had things to do, places to be, people to see...nothing but action. I'm still resting my calves so a run is out of the question. The lakeshore path is too crowded by now for me and my renegade bike style. Perhaps a long walk is in order. Then again, I should just do nothing and make the Summer Solstice as long as possible. But when you're working all day every day, it doesn't really matter, eh?
The Girl and I walked by a jungle gym in the neighborhood and I took a stroll though. I remember being a kid and the jungle gym was easy to get around. Sure, we're a lot bigger now than we were then...but why did crossing the bars hurt my shoulders so damn much? I'm definitely getting old...
I had some cheezy pizza for dinner friday night. The Bradleys made some cheezy lasagne for dinner last night. My sinuses are packed with cheese...and it doesn't feel the best.
Other lessons of the weekend:
- The Sox/Cubs series is exciting, but when you don't care too much about either team...it doesn't seem to be much of a hoot.
- Crossword Puzzles always seem easier after work or on the bus.
- The Old Girl is doing well, but really needs to start thinking for herself and do things on her terms.
- With the possible purchase of the Bucks by Michael Jordan...this could be a lame duck season. Damn!
Lets hold off using the air conditioner as long as we can, shall we?
