5 hours in a car, one tank of gas

The FCC changed the rules today and now big companies can own as many radio, TV and print outlets as it may choose. They have created a more free market system, but in this case, when the winners win, the consumers will lose. Most American's stare at the TV for their news...since TV news can now be controlled by fewer people, they will learn less about what is actually out there. Tip some of that drink to the ground...for America will get dumber in the next 10 years.

I visited The Girl's folks this weekend and met the extended family. It was nice to meet a happy bunch during a depressing wedding. I have never seen the bride so angry looking but sad before, during and after the wedding. I've also never seen the groom light up a cigarette and crack open a beer right away. I've also never seen a husband and wife argue mere minutes after the ceremony. I'm not sure why they got married. If it was for the best interests of their 3 year old child, they're sorely mistaken. Oh well, The Girl wasn't close to that branch of the family anyway...but still...it makes ya wonder.

I've discovered the trick to maximize Gas Milage. Balance your tires, and maintain the same speed whever possible. One tends to waste more gas speeding up into traffic and slowing down...maintain a steady flow, and your gas needle will travel ever so slower. Also, a jumbo butterburger from Culvers will speed up the trip. Those damn things are so easy to eat. Considering their size, I'm not sure why I can inhale those.

Observe a moment of silence for the passing of one of my new fish. She'll be missed. However, two out of her three female companions appear to be pregnant. Dare I let the fry be born naturally an into the open aquarium, or dare I isolate the poor mother into a plastic box and let her bore the young into a smaller box? I vote for the former, for its no fun to confine a pregnant one to a small closet. If nothing survives, I'll isolate the next round.

6:20 a.m. trains to work leave me extremely tired. I cannot wait to spend the rest of the night pinned to the couch.
