The John Hancock Building. As Shug said today: "I like this the best. It sybolizes strength. Wide at the bottom and thin on top. Just the way Skyscrapers are supposed to be." Although cold, I was lucky to get this shot while still sunny. The clouds are-a-coming.
Good 'ol friends/former roomates came to town to visit. As usual, it is always a fun time. It has been over a year and half since the three of us lived together, but we're not at the point where we force the fun and pretend like we're still close. I don't think that day will come...we're still pretty close/connected...I thank technology for that.
This weekend I performed a song at Rock 'n Roll Karoke. The feature was "Spirit of the Radio" by Rush. I'm not sure if the crowd was feeling it, but I tried my best to get them involved. Rock and Roll Karoke isn't about singing your favorite songs while worrying about sounding decent. To me, its more about seeing what kind of response you can get out of the crowd performing in whatever manner you can. My falsetto was rough and horrible, but I saw more people cracking up than those who shook their heads. I'd like to think I was entertaining to more people than just my friends. As a Rush fan, I'm dissapointed at myself for missing a verse. As a Karoke fan, I rock.
Chinese Buffet: something to do once in a while. I usually get my money's worth...this time was no exception.
Another portion of the weekend was spent in the "lab" working on new sounds for a project I'm a part of: Tha 446. The Stay tuned.
The Theme of the Weekend was the WhistleTip...this provided hours upon hours of enjoyment for us.
