Man, what a president's day (yesterday)...I'll remember this one for years!

The Sucks play the Kings tonight. This is the beginning of the end of their season. Prove me wrong.

All over the world, this past weekend, there were protests against the impending war. Their message is basically meant for one administration. Unfortunately, their pleas are falling on deaf ears. The president said: "democracy is a beautiful thing and people are allowed to express their opinion." Sure they are, but the principles of democracy also call for those opinions to at least be taken into consideration. When most of the world's general population is against this impending battle, that should say something...or at least a message should be received. My friend Jake received an anti-war e-mail from his grandmother. He said something that I've been thinking for the past few weeks: "You know things are getting crazy when you get anti-war email from your grandma." If one of my best friends from college gets shipped (he joined the Navy to see the world, not fight a war), there's something wrong. Its frustrating as hell...but we'll deal.

I used to wonder what the hell was wrong with people who protested against America. Anti-Americanism seemed evil to me. However, when I was in the Philippines last year around this time, there was a lot of protest against a US presence in the Philippines. Once I actually saw up close why these people felt that way (not that I'm siding with them) I realized that many of the world’s problem's with America are justified. This can be an arrogant country at times...these times are no exception.

I know that I said I'd stay away from issues and focus on the nothings in my world, but this is just too big a deal to not openly ponder.

Back to the nothings: I took a walk around the neighborhood I work in. Everybody seems to have somewhere to go...nobody seems to be walking around with no aim, or leisurely pace. That's the big city for you. If you stand a little higher than the sidewalk and look down the street, you see crowds of people walking around in droves...I bet 60-70% of those people wished they were at home, or at least doing something that didn't involve what they were doing at the time...but ya gotta work to pay the bills so someone's trophy wife can get that new SUV. If people weren't so worried about money to get by, this world would be a happier place.

Well, I promise I'll make you laugh soon...don't worry.
