Snow means my grocery shopping gets put off another day. Today seemed more of a grind than normal. I am not complaining because my work load seems to be lighter than most corporate entry-level minions I know. Well, at least tomorrow is the proverbial "hump-day" because its the chonological mid-point of the week. Since Thursdays feel the same as Tuesdays, I do not really feel the hump. Something must be wrong with me.
After work, I usually take the CTA bus home from work. I usually sit by the window and people watch, or try to steal a nap. A lady had to get up so I could get out of my seat to leave the bus. She gave me a dirty look which almost made me laugh. I did not know that sitting by the window meant you were not allowed to get up to leave the bus until the aisle passenger leaves. Did I miss something?
Although this blog is only three days old, I am trying to improve it with a comments generator. So far my options are to make the switch to MT, or outsource my comments generator. I tried to download BlogKomm and Reblogger but my skills suck and I could not get it to work. Any suggestions? Give me a Holler
Here is a quick thought about the State of the Union address: The president spent 10 minutes overstating the obvious before going into his objectives for the future of the country. All the clapping, smiles, and positive vibes made it seem like a pep-rally for the country. The State of the Union address is more like an info-mercial for the world. The world watches this and sees a congress united behind its president. It sends a message to the world that says: "We are a country united and we're not taking shit from anybody." Unlike most infomercials, the world will buy in.
Hmm...there may not exist any humor in today's post. Not to worry, I will find something interesting to post tomorrow.
